Executive Officer – Practice Management

Peel Health Care provides practice management services to general practitioners in Tamworth NSW.  Established in 2005 Peel Health Care is a not-for-profit practice management service focused on encouraging additional general practitioners to establish a practice in Tamworth NSW.  It offers general practitioners an easy entry to practice establishment and freedom to focus on patients and clinical activities.  The organisation is also a training practice encouraging general practice registrars to contemplate a career in regional communities.

The enterprise employs 20 committed permanent and part-time staff capable of providing high levels of administration and clinical services in modern, well designed premises with up-to-date data management systems.

An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic business or practice manager to take on the role of Executive Officer.  This is the senior role and the successful candidate will work with and report to the Board.  Responsibilities will include Marketing, Systems Development, Staffing, Financial Reporting and Day-to-Day Operations.

Knowledge of health care and general practice may be advantageous but is not an essential requirement for the position. The important pre-requisites are a good understanding of business and the provision of services.  Good leadership, interpersonal skills and a focus on organisational performance for service delivery to general practitioners and patients will also be prime considerations.
